SUMMARY:Euskalduna Bilbao - 06 dic 11:00 - MendiTalk: (HISTORIAS) BAJO CERO
DESCRIPTION:MENDITALK: (STORIES) BELOW ZERO
 Juan Vallejo
 Few climbers s
urvive a fall from a sheer rock face. Juan Vallejo is one of them. But sur
vival came at a price: multiple fractures\, countless surgeries\, metal im
plants\, and the very real possibility that he would never climb again. As
he begins a long and uncertain recovery\, one question lingers: can a cli
mber live without the mountains? From his hospital bed\, Juan retraces a li
fetime of adventures leading up to the accident. The Pyrenees\, the Himala
 yas\, the Karakoram\, Patagonia\, Yosemite\, Peru\, Greenland... landscape
s and memories intertwine with the stories of some of mountaineering’s g
reatest figures\, including Juanito Oiarzabal\, Alberto Zerain\, Edurne Pa
saban\, Mikel Zabalza\, and Alberto Iñurrategi. A moving reflection on re
silience\, identity\, and the enduring call of the mountains.
