On the highest peaks of the Pyrenees, beneath the rocks, glaciers, and the paths we walk along, there is an almost invisible element that shapes the future of the mountains. Permafrost. 'Permapyrenees' follows a cross-border scientific team from Catalonia, France, and Andorra on a high-altitude research expedition to understand how climate change is transforming the frozen subsoil of the Pyrenees: Besiberri, the Pessons cirque, Vignemale, Pica d’Estats and Maladeta.
