MENDI TOUR, the travelling circuit showcasing the best films from the international Mendi Film festival, will kick off on 22 September in Urnieta and close the Autumn season on 20–21 November in Potes, Liébana. Fourteen venues have been confirmed, with a total of 18 film screenings scheduled.

During the Winter–Spring season, 11,000 spectators enjoyed the Mendi Tour. A total of 66 screenings across 33 towns and cities were held—an outstanding figure that highlights both the appeal of mountain cinema and the quality of Mendi Film’s programming.
The films explore themes such as mountains, adventure, extreme sports and nature, and include works awarded or highlighted at BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia 2025. Local productions such as Harri, Orri, Arkatz, Izarren Zaunka, Aldabide and Sustraiak, Raíces perdidas, together with international titles like K2 Mon Amour, Trango, Cantos y Flores, Into Altai, Le Moulin des Artistes and Old Man Lightning, have become inspiring and enjoyable pieces for audiences.
The Mendi Tour is now firmly established in numerous locations, as shown by the figures from the first half of the year: Tolosa is the pioneering venue, where the 16th edition was held at Leidor (1,600 spectators); the 15th edition took place at the Teatro Principal in Donostia (800 spectators) and at Kultur Leioa (320 spectators); in Vitoria‑Gasteiz, the 14th edition was held at the newly opened Arkabia centre of Fundación Vital (1,350 spectators); Arrasate also hosted its 14th edition (350 spectators); Igorre’s Lasarte hall held the 13th edition (315 spectators); and Pamplona’s Golem cinemas offered eight screenings over four days (1,600 spectators).
Beyond the Basque Country, screenings have also been held this year in Galicia (Vigo), Castilla y León (León, Salamanca, Valladolid and Burgos), Valencia (Canet d’en Berenguer), Catalonia (Vielha e Mijaran) and Gran Canaria (Teror).
Once the Mendi Tour 2026 comes to an end, the major annual event will follow: the 19th edition of BBK Mendi Film Bilbao Bizkaia, to be held from 4 to 13 December in Bilbao.
